WA: Another sleeper of the vintage, this under-priced, beautifully made Pauillac exhibits a deep ruby/purple color along with a sweet bouquet of creme de cassis, licorice, tapenade, and spice box. Medium to full-bodied with silky tannin and low acidity, it is a pure, expressive wine to drink over the next 12-15 years. |

(a 70/30 blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot) Good bright, deep ruby-red. Cool aromas of blackberry, cassis, mint and shoe polish. Juicy, lively and firm, with coolish flavors of cassis, shoe polish, licorice and mint. On the tough side, finishing with a firm tannic spine and good floral persistence. 85-88 points |
